Why am I seeing The Gilded Butterfly and Catlickfever Art on this website?
It’s a site for my jewelry business and my art.
What’s with the name ‘catlickfever’?
I’ve gotten strange looks for this one before so I’ll explain. haha
When I was a kid we had a cat that liked to lick ice-cube trays. There is an actual illness called cat scratch fever. So my dad would always say, “Better wash those ice trays or you’ll get cat lick fever!” One day when I was setting up an email account (one of my first ones and I was super computer illiterate ) my dad was helping me and the username I wanted was taken. I couldn’t pick one so he just put in catlickfever. Initially I was mad at him but then I decided I liked it and it stuck! haha
What kind of art do you make?
Photography, digital painting, digital mixed media, jewelry, and other crafts.
What do you sell at your business?
Handcrafted jewelry, journal jars, and also my original art.
What are your store policies?
This should cover all your questions. It’s kinda long so I’m linking.
How do I contact you if I have more questions?
The two easiest ways are to contact me via email, firstname.lastname@example.org or on either of my facebook pages found in the link page.
You say you’re a survivor what did you survive?
A spinal ependymoma. It’s super rare so as one doctor put it I “hit the genetic lottery” with that one. (more about ependymomas here).
Why a jewelry/art business?
With damage done to my spine/vertebrae from the tumor I have chronic pain and I’m not very strong. I can’t stand or sit upright for very long so I have to find a way to make a living that doesn’t involve that. I love art, I have ever since I was old enough to hold a crayon. I love crafting and anything creative really!
What happened with your tumor?
That’s a pretty long story. If you want to read it head over here. It’s the last thing on the page. :)
Some of the jewelry photos, journal jar, and other artisan craft photos are of past products. I can not guarantee that all the products pictured will be in my shop at a given time. I do my best to keep it up to date but I am not perfect.
